When we saw "Downey" on our parking tickets, we had no idea what that meant. It turns out it is the parking structure on Downey Way...on USC's campus!
I recognized that we had emerged from the structure near the engineering school
And as much as things have changed on campus around the student book store, I was still able to recognize where we were relative to this walkway
We cross the Expo Line tracks en route to the Coliseum, but I must get a shot of Mudd Hall before the sun goes down
Haven't walked through the Rose Garden in ages. I assume the temporary fencing is just for gameday.
The Rose Garden fountain
The Navy fighter...I waited until we got closer to take a shot of the F18 because the sun was flaring my lens (but I didn't realize I cut off its nose until I processed this shot)
I'm actually surprised to see this F-104D Starfighter still here given all of the changes around the California Science Center
Due to construction we end up walking the long way around to the front of the Coliseum. I didn't know they had an A-12 Blackbird here.
Valerie and I find the USC Properties Tailgating Party...thanks, Terranea!
Looks like I will miss seeing the sun set behind the Coliseum
BBQ ribs, grilled salmon, bacon wrapped shrimp, mini cakes Nothing Bundt Cakes...a very satisfying pre-game meal
This is my first time entering the Coliseum from this level. I had no idea there are concessions and restrooms up here...or were these part of the recent stadium renovation?
I find our seats before our team enters the stadium
Not the best smartphone panorama I've captured inside the Coliseum
#uscselfie
Before everyone else arrives, I make sure Valerie and I get a #uscselfie
Eric and Valerie #USCSelfie ... United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Valerie wants me to try and capture every time Terranea is mentioned...but I keep overexposing the big screen
Arizona has the ball at the end of 1st quarter, but we have the lead
I finally have the exposure properly set for the scoreboard...we lead by a touchdown
