September, 1996 - Valerie and I honeymooned on Kauai...a significant trip for many reasons. This was the first real vacation either of us had after graduating from USC, our first visit to any of the Hawaiian Islands as adults, my first time renting a car, our first time staying at a resort (The Grand Hyatt). This was the same month Crash Bandicoot launched on the original PlayStation, a few months before I joined the team at Naughty Dog, and still over a year before Valerie would start working in the hospitality business, so we could hardly have predicted she would eventually represent a hotel located here.
