Valerie and I have early afternoon tickets for an art expo in Culver City. Though Valerie suggests we stop for ramen en route (and I never say no to ramen), we end up trying Misasa in the Mitsuwa Marketplace Food Court because the line was too long at Santouka. The queue was equally bad at Mugimaru + Toritetsu, but I notice that people ordering udon from there receive their udon as they check out...whereas you wait after you pay at every other vendor. I hope we aren't cutting this too close.

Valerie and I order matching Bento lunches...2 item combos featuring Pork Katsu and Tempura. The wait wasn't THAT long AND their food is good!

It's just not ramen

We arrive at the exhibition Banksy: Genius or Vandal? Having read some scathingly negative reviews earlier this week, we weren't sure if the venue was ever going to open. We bought our tickets for this hour ages ago, but many who apparently booked earlier dates (the scheduled opening was in September) only learned their tickets had been cancelled upon arrival. I saw a review last night that mentioned the show had officially opened the night before. If I hadn't read that, we may not have bothered to drive here this afternoon!
