DAY 0 - Though the rest of the car club is driving back to Phoenix for NSXPO 2005's HPDE, I'm parking my NSX in front of the Amara Creekside Resort in Sedona....where Valerie and I will stay for the next two nights

The first room we check into, though quite nice, has two twin beds (we requested a queen)

The second room is more like it, but we had to wait for room service to get it ready for us

Though not the Ritz, the bathroom is quite nice

We have our very own desktop zen garden (I forgot to take a picture of the zen garden in the main lobby)

Upon Steve "Ca AGNSX" Riter's recommendation, we head up to the Sedona Airport to check out the view. Unfortunately, the sun is illuminating the wrong side of the valley at this hour...so we'll have to come back in the morning

We're thrilled to see partly cloudy skies...Sedona's climate is much more pleasant than Phoenix

Back at the hotel, we take a walk around the grounds and enjoy the setting

Standing at the edge of the property, we hear Oak Creek trickling below

Around 5pm, Valerie and I leave the hotel to take a walk around Uptown Sedona. It's time to investigate our dining options

For some reason, Valerie finds crossing this street amusing

We find a Hummer Store in town

The town is not very busy

As we reach the end of the uptown shops along highway 89 Alt, we're treated to an unobstructed view of Sedona

After walking around town, we decide to go with the concierge's recommendation and try the Mexican restaurant called Vista Cantina (which happens to be conveniently located in the plaza atop Amara's driveway). The food is good, the service fast, and the view spectacular
