DAY 0 - Valerie and I Uber to Tom Bradley International and have plenty of time to kill before our flight
Our aircraft...
...will most definitely NOT be an A380. This is the closest I have come to one though. I can barely capture a full shot of one parked with my wide angle lens. I still think this thing looks top heavy.
Have to take a smartphone pic to share this one on FB
It's almost comical how small our flight looks in comparison to that big boy
So, we're flying on an A320...still an Airbus, just a bit smaller.
Valerie and I are ready for a vacay
This is our first time flying Interjet...a Mexican airline. From the name, I thought we would have high-speed wireless access to the web, cutting edge entertainment options, and a USB charging port. Sadly, this is not the case.
I suspect I will not be taking many in flight photos today...not only are we seated over the wing, the exterior of this window is covered in scratches!
The window beside my headrest is much better...a little awkward, but usable
Our Interjet taxis by American
"Rabid Badger"
The old LAX Control Tower was retired the year Valerie and I got married
Up up and away!

Over the Pacific
From here I can see all of the South Bay Beach Cities and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I often forget how much of El Segundo is consumed by an oil field.
Good view of Palos Verdes through a very dirty window...captured on smartphone
I can easily spot Point Vicente Lighthouse, Terranea, Del Cerro Park and my favorite running trails through the Portuguese Bend Nature Preserve
Yes, I am trying to photograph the nuclear boobs...they're not much bigger than a couple of pixels in this pic though
