DAY 6 - Eager to run with me, Maximilien leads me from Montmartre to Parc des Buttes Chaumont in the neighboring district...and quite quickly too. We averaged under 8 minutes per mile for the first couple of miles.
This park was established in 1867 during the reign of Emperor Napoleon III. Max tells me that Rosa Bonheur Restaurant occupies one of the older buildings in Paris.
We continue our run around the permieter of the park
The park does a good job of making you feel like you have left the city behind
We cut back to one of the higher spots on the east side of the park to get a better view of the Temple de la Sibylle
Temple de la Sibylle is located atop a cliff some 30m above an artificial lake. I would have taken wider pictures of the hill, but there is a lot of construction going on around the lake right now.
Maximilien waits to cross a 63-meter-long suspension bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel, creator of the Eiffel Tower

Canal Saint-Martin
Metro travels over the intersection of Rue la Fayette and Boulevard de la Villette
Max decides we should take the train back to Montmartre from Gare de l'Est...but we end up running nearly as far to reach the station
My watch logged over 10km by the time we reached the station, but lost signal long before we reached the train platform Here is the data from our run: http://www.strava.com/activities/83907030
While on an errand with Danielle, we pass by Moulin Rouge. She tells me I should come back at night because it looks better with all of its lights turned on
Maximilien leads us to Saint-Denis
Mairie de Saint-Denis
Maximilien strongly feels we should see Basilique Saint-Denis...a church not often on the radar of tourists due to its location
