DAY 3 -Trying the pizza at Villa Medici Da Napoli
Trying the pizza at Villa Medici Da Napoli
Taking shelter from the rain inside Galeries Lafayette is dangerous...to ones' wallet.
Staying dry by crossing the bridge over Rue de Mogador
I do not bother checking the price...it probably costs a lot more here than in the States.
I'm a big fan of Nespresso...apparently so is George Clooney.
Opéra national de Paris...the back side of Palais Garnier
Yep...it's wet!
We take the Metro back to Jules Joffrin. This building is Mairie du 18e, city hall for the 18th arrondissement of Paris.
Poteau Street. Time to walk back to Danielle's apartment.
Valerie and I have been hearing how much better Pierre Hermé's macarons are than Ladurée's. We finally get to judge for ourselves...after dinner.
Dimitri joins us for dinner
Dimitri, Charline, Valerie, Maximilien
Bon Appétit!
Time for dessert! Look at them!
We finally have at them. Yes, they do seem better. Our initial impression is that PH's macarons are bolder and have more interesting flavors. Of course, we now need to eat some of Ladurée's...to be sure.
DAY 4 - Valerie joins me for a short run to-and-from Basilique du Sacré-Cœur.
Where do these stairs go?
Reps on the steps would be a great workout...but I'm not sure Valerie would be up interested in doing that.
She is already walking!!!!
Approaching Sacré-Cœur via Rue du Chevalier de la Barre...but Le Chat Noir is the real reason I took this pic
