DAY 1 (continued) - We follow Juergen to the party house
Tonight's festivities take place in the waterfront cabins of the Springwater Lodge
A pair of BC Ferries sail by
My dad apparently missed the ferry and tonight's dinner
Speaking about dinner, all of us scan the sky for the sea plane carrying Angela's brother Ken... but this is a false alarm

Ken has arrived (I miss splashdown because I was standing on the wrong side of the dock)
Ken is not the only reason we await the plane's arrival. On board is sushi from one of his family's favorite sushi restaurants
Apparently, this is the only way to get good fresh sushi on the island
The plane cruises around the bay
The pilot hops out to tie the plane to the dock
The Balls (and Uncle Kyle) arrive to help carry the food
Ken's girflriend Diana looks happy to escape the plane
Just a few more boxes and Ken will join us
With passengers and cargo now on shore, the pilot steers away from the shore...
...and angles his plane towards the open sky
I guess he is not a fan of sushi
The plane heads back to Vancouver
Family gets the tables ready for incoming trays of sushi
I should start back or I will find myself at the end of the line
Better hurry
The sushi looks good...let's eat!
