DAY 03 (cont) - After an hour-long flight, we arrive in rain-drenched Hue and are driven to the Hotel Saigon Morin...supposedly the nicest hotel in the city. Though we check into an unexpectedly large room, we still prefer the Metropole
Clean bathroom, but Metropole's was nicer
The only thing good about this TV is its name
We find an amenity in our room - fruit and bottled water
One end table has a master control panel for the room
DAY 04 - Another morning, another buffet, another yummy bowl of pho bo...and we're thrilled to also find bun bo hue (a spicy beef noodle soup that originates from this part of Vietnam). We end up having a bowl of each!
We walk back to our room
As feared, it is raining outside
First stop is the Thien Mu Pagoda. Due to the rainy weather, I have wrapped my camera in one of the hotel's plastic raincoats and I take shots from under our tour guide's umbrella
The Thien Mu Pagoda overlooks the Perfume River
Here I stay dry by shooting under an archway
The ceremonial bell. I hate direct flash, but, since I decided against bringing a tripod, I don't have a choice

We walk around the grounds
Our next stop is the Imperial Palace
