DAY 5 - This morning I am up before dawn, but have no plans to run
Valerie and I are riding the hotel elevator down and not just to go for a little walk
The sun is rising as we walk to our car and the ground is a little wet, but the forecast for today has improved since we checked last night
I am about to drive us in the direction of the sun
We catch a glimpse of a rainbow as we drive near the Polynesian Cultural Center, so I briefly pull into its parking lot so I can try and get a picture of it, but it had already begun to fade
Valerie and I arrive at Kualoa Ranch as the sun starts to appear from behind clouds
I break out the DSLR to capture a shot of the moon from the parking lot of Kualoa Ranch
I switch back to my wide-angle lens so I can capture some wide establishing shots...even though I could just rely upon my smartphone
We pick up our tickets for an adventure...that will not begin for an hour
I check out the horses
This is one of several ways one can tour the ranch, but Valerie and I are not riding today

When you've been missing your babies like we have, any cat becomes a star attraction
