DAY 1 (continued) - Phylo, Michele, Valerie, and I arive at Natsunoya Tea House to celebrate the recent wedding of one of their former coworkers
Awww...now I am thinking about our girls
There is a Tesla Model 3 parked out front with a first gen NSX coupe-like black roof
I'm not sold on the color approach...especially since the black ends arbitrarily on the A pillar
Natsunoya Tea House is located on a hill overlooking Honolulu
We are here to celebrate the union of the Nakaharas...Drew and Angela
I finally make it into one of Drew's famous selfies! Celebrating the recent union of Drew and Angela is why we flew to Oahu.
Centerpieces on the tables have an appropriately Hawaiian spin on them
The band is quite good...and apparently they like posing for photos
An appropriate wedding favor...strawberry guava jam and sea salt from Drew's family's farm
So what's for lunch?
Round 1...time to poke our eyes out!
The poke is so ono! I WILL be going back for more...I just didn't want to appear greedy on my first pass.
On to the main courses!
And now SUSHI!
Tempura plates arrive at each table...YUM!
So much goodness on one plate
Almost forgot the tempura
Valerie and I take a moment to sign the guest book ...and I offer a very important piece of advice
(Valerie thinks I sometimes forget this)
Somehow I missed getting a shot of the cake before it was cut into
