DAY 04 - Today Valerie and I decide to enjoy the Waikoloa Beach Marriott's pool...
...and their waterslide
Compared to other hotel waterslides we've enjoyed, this one is actually quite short
Valerie goes first
She seems to have enjoyed it, but I'm not sure what her face is trying to tell me
My turn
Splashdown!
I'm obviously enjoying myself
I go snorkeling for the first and only time this trip...right in front of our hotel. This gives me the perfect excuse to try my Sony digital camera's underwater housing (I had to color correct my underwater shots in Photoshop). I do not have to swim far into Anaeho'omalu Bay before I reach the coral reef
A swim over a ray of some kind (a spotted eagle ray?)
I really have not traveled very far from shore...and with clouds looming nearby, it is probably better that I do not venture too far
The water is a bit more churned up than I had hoped...perhaps I should be more concerned about incoming storms
There are a lot of fish down here, just can't seem to keep them centered within the frame
Damn...its hard to keep the camera steady enough to take pictures of the fish
Okay, I finally manage to get a shot with a bunch of fish...but the sun is on the wrong side!
This is the clearest shot I have been able to take thus far
I come across complete barriers of coral that I cannot safely swim over
Where are the fish
Here's a yellow striped one...
...and a white/yellow one with black stripes...
