DAY 0 - This morning, I need to drop Mochi & Moka at grandmas
Our usual transport is currently at the Service Center for its annual maintenance visit, so I am taking them in Valerie's Model 3. Our Tesla girls prefer the X because the carrier can lie flat between the middle row seats.
Mochi is immediately out and about at Grandma's
And she makes herself comfortable
Very comfortable
This is the first time I have plugged an EV into a 110V outlet. I figure it does not take much to keep our loaner Model S charged while we are gone...and we can leave Valerie's Model 3 plugged into our NEMA 14-50 outlet.
Packing for multi-day road trips in the NSX is always a Tetris-like challenge...
...especially when I must bring my helmet for a high performance driving event. The last time Valerie and I attempted a nine day road trip like this was for NSXPO 2003 in Sonoma. This NSXPO is in San Francisco, but with track days much further north.
Ready to roll!
We stop at Starbucks in Santa Nella for a much needed caffeine infusion
That building is probably the most recognizable building in Santa Nella because you can see it from the freeway. I certainly remember passing it en route to NSXPO 2003.
Almost there, stay on target
Topping up the tank at Costco in Richmond, CA
The sun is going down as my NSX waits in line for gas
Valerie and I arrive at Craig and Linda's home in Point Richmond
Our friends have me park on their driveway across the street. It is much easier parking there...becausee there are no concrete blocks I might accidentally hit with my bumper
Milo and Ellie...the welcoming committee
We have arrived after sunset, but we are not too late to enjoy our friends' spectacular view of the San Francisco Bay
Richmond-San Rafael Bridge at Twilight In 2003, we led a caravan of NSXs across that bridge to get to the NSXPO host hotel in San Rafael...but this year Valerie and I decided to head up early so we can visit with friends in the area.
Grape sausage...very interesting
Milo...do you want to sleep with us tonight?
Okay...maybe not?
DAY 1 - Milo waits for me at the base of the stairs
Ellie also waits nearby...the babycats did come into our room last night, but would not sleep with us on the bed
