DAY 6 - Sunset from our room's lanai
The hotel is bathed in a warm glow
Our resort view room may not let us see the ocean, but at least we get to see the sun go down
The end of another beautiful day in Kapalua
DAY 8 - A red-headed birdie visits me while I eat lunch at the Honolua Store
Expressive
A brown-headed birdie joins the red-headed one
Sorry, but I think the red-headed one is cuter
Narrow depth-of-field
Located a short walk uphill from the hotel, the Honolua Store is certainly a convenient place to grab a quick and affordable breakfast or lunch
I walk back down Office Road and on to Ritz-Carlton Drive
Dogs staying here deserve only the best
Flags of the United States, Hawaii, and The Ritz-Carlton
Another beautiful day in paradise
Plant on the deck overlooking the hotel's pool
Lobby lamps
The Alaloa Lounge
Kai Sushi Restaurant
I wait for the elevator
In a previous visit to the hotel, a tourist asked me how to get to the "Dragon's Teeth". I had no idea what she was asking about, so, this trip, I find out it is located on Makalua-puna Point...just a short walk down the hill from the hotel.
Perfect timing...the sun comes out and I have the point to myself
I see why this is called "Dragon's Teeth". Makalua-puna Point was created from one of the last lava flows on Maui, but the unique formations get their shape and color thanks to hundreds of years of pounding from wind and sea.
