DAY 1 - Once again...
...we begin our drive to Mammoth...
...early in the morning...
...so we get to watch the sun rise...
...over the desert near Mojave
My dad joins us this time...even taking a shift behind the wheel of our Pilot
Valerie sleeps in
At this hour, the sun barely reaches Red Rock Canyon
Much of this colorful landscape is still in shadow
Even though we first checked in to our hotel room, Dad, Valerie, and I hit the slopes before noon
We waste little time in traversing over to the Upper Gondola

After making our way to Chair 14, Valerie and I traverse back to Chair 25...
...without my dad (who fell and aggravated his weak knee)
Dad meets us back at Little Eagle
DAY 2 - Hoping to avoid icy conditions, we head directly to Chair 9
Unable to join us, Dad has become our personal shuttle service (he dropped us at Little Eagle)
Valerie and I are enjoying the unseasonably warm weather
The sky is clear...
...and the snow is already soft
In fact, we feel overdressed
