I pass by my dad's old house. The new owners are reworking the master bedroom.
I used to frequent Baby's Badass Burgers, but they aren't the best burger truck in town.
Heading back up Burma Road, I see a couple of fallen trees. I decided to extend my 11 miler here since I needed to get in some trails ahead of next week's Hills Are Alive 10K.
For some reason, I am craving a banana
Just keep running
If bikes may also use the street, why remove lanes for a dedicated bike path? For us runners?
JANUARY - Serious blisters to start the year
Aside from some mist, I've managed to stay dry for 7 miles. Will I be as lucky over the next 8?
JANUARY - What's in the box?!?
Early start for a 16 miler. I need to wait a couple of minutes for it to get bright enough to see where I'm going
Dawn
Sunrise
Made it to the beach...but I've never seen this little inlet before
Ripples in the inlet after waves tap the shore
Lunada Bay...I remember enjoying brunch at Viva La Pasta, a restaurant that used to located in this building
Today I am just running on by...but brunch is sounding good right about now
Abalone Cove
Wayfarers Chappel
The ever shifting stretch of Palos Verdes Drive South through Portuguese Bend
Portuguese Bend Nature Preserve, my destination, is to my left...now to find the trailhead to go inside
Found my way in to the Preserve from the bottom...not used to entering this area from down here. I *think* this is the right trail.
Finished my 16 mile run before I reached the top of Barn Owl Trail (which is not the way I had planned to run to get to Burma Road...it is fricken steep! ). Now I can wait to meet up with Valerie and friends for a nice hike on Burma Road.
