Valerie and I have returned to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, but not for football game
We are running in the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Valerie has walked this event before, but this is my first time participating in any form
We meet up with Raquel and Jose who are also running today. Their daughter Hailey is along for the ride
As opening ceremony festivities continue in front of the Coliseum peristyle, we runners forgo meeting with our walking teammates so we are not too far back at the start
8000 runners are expected of a total 54,000 participants
Valerie has not run for a few weeks, but she IS going to run this

As race time approaches, everyone advances closer to the starting gate
The walkers are now queueing behind the runners
We're lined up next to the California Science Center

...and Hailey is ready to snack
The crowd continues to build behind us
The "for women" moniker is because this event supports the fight against women's cancer
The race starts!
After finishing the race, I head over to the tunnel...hoping to spot members of Team Jane entering the stadium (I do find Valerie, but the shots I took were blurry)
I do manage to get one shot of Jose pushing Hailey down the finish chute, but I thought I had him in two previous shots when he first entered the stadium
Valerie and I wait for the walking members of our team, but did not realize Jane already entered the stadium. She made a last minute decision to run the whole course. Go Jane!
Did I mention that we are members of Team Jane?
