I drive out to the site of tomorrow's Palos Verdes Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k to preview the course. I park near where I suspect the start/finish line will be located at Point Fermin Park

My next stop comes shortly after the course begins its downhill stretch (and 25th Street becomes Palos Verdes Drive South)

This spot overlooks Trump National Golf Course (the club I still think of as Ocean Trails) looking southeast towards Trump National Estates, luxury residences still under construction

This will definitely be one of the nicer vistas of the race...because it means the next few miles are predominantly downhill!

I look forward to improving my pace as I descend towards Portuguese Bend

The rolling section of Portuguese Bend could be fun...or torturous
