The Dodgers are back in the NLCS, but their come from behind wins and two out runs are killing me. I have decided to break out my rally towel from the only time I have ever attended a playoff series game, btu I hope I won't need it much for the rest of their run to a World Series title.

Dodgers win the World Series selfie! I can't believe I have waited 32 years to watch the boys in blue win another World Championship...and I did so while working late in my still unfinished home office, streaming the game via YouTubeTV over wifi to the smartphone I eventually used to take THIS picture. I am recording this moment because, thanks in part to COVID19, I am NOT with anyone who can remind me exactly where I was or what I was doing when this moment finally happened.

A high school friend posted on Facebook that we were at a Pizza Hut (our usual post cross country meet routine) when the Dodgers beat the A's in 1988...so I was watching the final game with my cross-country teammates on their big rear projection TV. I have far more vivid memories jumping up and down in my mom's den when Kirk Gibson hit his famous walk off home run to end game 1 of that series.

I'm standing in this corner of my home office while I still can...my desk is finally scheduled to arrive this week, so I cleared boxes and a computer out this corner to make space. Until things are setup and I actually have places to unpack them, I will be constantly moving boxes full of stuff from one corner to another

Dodgers Opening Day 2021 is here, so I've dressed for the occasion and put out our new flag

I have no immediate plans to go to any games (won't go until I am fully vaxxed), but it would have been awesome to attend today's ring ceremony

I defintely am excited to see if we can repeat as World Series champions this year...and that might be enough incentive for me to return to the ballpark
