This evening, I am hunting a comet (but the streaks you see in this picture are from aircraft thanks to 8 second exposure)

I am not exactly sure where in the night sky I need to look, so I have opted for a location with a panoramic view

With the clouds moving in, this is probably the best shot of Comet Neowise I will get this evening

As I leave the gazebo at Roessler Point, someone points out a raccoon on the fence to my right

Now I see why they are called trash pandas

I catch glimpses of the crescent moon as the marine layer rolls in
