Less than three months since we last took a shuttle ride to the Hollywood Bowl, Valerie and I join Peter and Linda for another. For all of us, this marks a second time we are attending Game of Thrones: Live...but the first AFTER the series has completed its run.
This time we will be sitting with Linda and Pete
Even though we arrive at the Bowl around a similar time, it is a bit darker during this time of year. No, we are not sitting this close...we have just stopped to pick up seat cushions before heading to our seats.
Hollywood Bowll Smartphone Panorama (a tad blurry...been having a hard time taking low-light panoramas lately)
Pete purchased seats in Section H...practically dead center!
Hollywood Bowl Group Selfie...photobombed from behind (also a tad blurry)
View from our seats at the Hollywood Bowl (smartphone panorama)
It's showtime...but they're running late
The scenic montage has stoppped...now Drogon is staring at us from the main screen. The performers have started to take their seats on stage.
Drogon has been watching us for over 10 minutes, but the lighting has changed
Game of Thrones: Introduction and Title Theme
Ramin Djawadi's son takes the stage, welcomes the audience to the Hollywood Bowl, and introduces his famous father
Ramin Djawadi thanks us for coming
Zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor ("a dragon is not a slave")...dracarys
Needle (Arya's Theme)
Ramin Djawadi performs the theme of one of my early favorite characters from Game of Thrones, a character who really grew over the show's seasons (Maisie Williams was only 14 when she was cast as Arya Stark)
Dracarys (on Electric Guitar)
I really didn't expect to hear Ramin Djawadi perform pieces from GoT on electric guitar, but licks and fire go hand-in-hand...live at the Hollywood Bowl
Battle of the Bastards
Game of Thrones: Light of the Seven
Spoiler alert! My favorite piece of Djawadi's music set to one of my favorite sequences from the epic series
Dany's music is just too heroic for her to turn bad
Ramin Djawadi imparts some final words...this is the last performance of this concert tour in 2019
One final performance to end Game of Thrones: Live Concert Experience
