SATURDAY - Summer finally shows up...on Labor Day Weekend
96 degrees is not exactly what I would consider refreshing
SUNDAY - Out of the blue, Pete calls us up and asks if we want to check out the L.A. County Fair. I have not been in years...and I think this will be everyone else's first time
This is not only Labor Day Weekend, but also the first weekend of the fair, so it could be crowded. And man is it HOT out here!
Our first impression is pretty much what we expected going in: simple rides and junk food
"Fried delights" are why Pete (and, to a certain degree, I) wanted to check it out
Valerie and I are ready to have a fun time
Lori wants to check out The Zipper
Are these fair rides safe?
Believe it or not, I have never tried Pink's before...so Pete makes sure I try one here
Pete and I share a Martha Stewart Dog (10" Stretch Dog, relish, onions, bacon, chopped tomatoes, sauerkraut & sour cream)
We pass on the ribs and turkey legs...at least for now ;)
