Thanks to Valerie, I am standing in parking lot 8 at Dodger Stadium holding two tickets to today's matchup between first place teams in the National League East and West
We enter the stadium's Reserved Level, but must take an elevator plus escalator/stairs to gain access to our seats
We reach our box along the 1st baseline just as the game begins. I've never sat eye level with the players before!
Also in the box: Jason, Jenifer, and Valerie
Clouds loom nearby...hope it does not rain
Appears that the sun will come and go throughout the game
One of the perks of having Baseline Box Seats is being able to enjoy the Baseline Box Club...food and non-alcoholic beverages offered here are included in the price of the tickets
I fill a box and bring it back to my seat...beginning this course with a Dodger Dog (of course)
Apparently, former Dodger shortstop Maury Wills is on hand to mark the 50th anniversary of his major league debut
He literally steals 2nd as he rounds the bases one more time (he stole 104 bases in 1962)

I bite into the beef dog next and think I like it better than the Dodger Dog. Should have tried the picante dog though
Two dogs down...now on to the country-style potatoes, spinach salad, Caesar salad, peanuts...wait, did I say salads?
The boxes to my left are unoccupied, but attendants make sure they remain so in case ticket holders decide to show up later in the game
Dodgers!
Dodgers are up
I return to my seat after grabbing a cup of soft-serve chocolate ice cream from the Baseilne Box Club
I totally could get used to this!
Andre Ethier, last night's hero for his game winning RBI on a walk-off double, steps to the plate in the bottom of the 6th
Ethier homered to right during his previous at bat (during the 4th inning)...thus far, the only run of the game
Russell Martin, batting clean up while Manny Ramirez is on suspension, steps to the plate after Ethier strikes out
