Mandoline Grill is the other Vietnamese truck to frequent the area. This is only my second visit to this truck

With Nom Nom seemingly on an endless vacation, I decide to try the competition's bánh mì

This truck offers a few items that Nom Nom does not

Last time I tried one of their rice noodle bowls...tasty, but their noodles were a bit heavier than I expected

I sip Vietnamese iced coffee while waiting for my order...which takes a LOT longer than expected because someone ahead of me ordered ten sandwiches!

Mandoline Grill's combo is a little more expensive than Nom Nom's, but includes a Chả Giò instead of a taco

I am not sure this vegetable spring roll should be called Chả Giò...usually these are filled with minced pork. Though not the same, it is tasty

I am pleasantly surprised by their sandwich. I like the flavor of Nom Nom's grilled pork better, but the bread had the perfect amount of crispness

This may be my second time ordering a Grilled Pork Bún from Mandoline Grill, but it is the first time I ordered it as a combo...and snapped a pic of it

Their rice noodle bowls are quite tasty

Mandoline Grill Combo #2. Their grilled pork bánh mì is now a bit on the saucy side, but has an improved flavor and plenty of heat (more than Phamish...way more than Nom Nom). I do like the amount of sauce on the taco. And even their iced coffee is better than I remember it. Nom Nom may not be facing much competition in the Great Food Truck Race, but they have plenty on the Westside
