This morning, Valerie has somehow managed to convince me to replace my scheduled shorter long run with a longer walk. She has actually baited me with raw fish...so I have parked my X on a residential street not far from Sugarfish (our lunch destination near the Manhattan Beach Pier). Many of the spaces around here are now limited to two hours, so I have to check all of the surrounding signs to make sure I am not violating any parking rules.

We started our walk north on the woodchips of Veteran's Parkway and, as I often do on my runs, turned around where Fry's used to be located. As Valerie and I conitnue south of the pier we come across a house infested with some rather large spiders.

Killl it with fire!

I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Valerie almost turned back at Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach, but decided to continue south on the Hermosa Valley Greenbelt...

...and when we come across a woman carrying a Lynxie Meezer in a backpack, we knew we made the right choice! This will probably be the highlight of our walk.

Valerie and I reach our lunch destination...Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa. Valerie has been to Sugarfish before, but not this particular location. This is my first time to any restaurant by Sushi Nozawa.

Valerie originally wanted to order "The Nozawa Trust Me" to go, but we changed our mind when we learned it would take an hour. Apparently their take away packaging is really Instagrammable. I'm too hungry to wait. Organic Edamame is served shortly after we sit at one of the outside tables. Like many places in the Beach Cities, Sugarfish did not have outside seating until the pandemic forced the option.

Bluefin Toro Sushi (today's Daily Special), Yellowtail Sushi, Sea Bass Sushi, and NZ Sea Bream Sushi I should note that "The Nozawa Trust Me" only differs from "Trust Me" due to its inclusion of the daily special. We originally planned on sharing the former, but now Valerie is glad she ordered the latter as well.
