After being immersed in Van Gogh, we head a few blocks to the east for an early lunch

Valerie and I finally will get to try Jitlada. We arrive before they open...so we wait

Being here early means we were able to find a spot in this small strip mall parking lot, but the owner of the adjacent business keeps asking me to move closer to Jitlada.

When 11am rolls around, there is still no activity visible inside... starting to wonder if they decided to take the long weekend off

Apparently the blue lines take precedence over the yellow ones.

Apparently Matt Groening is a huge fan of this place. The center frame is his caricature of late Jitlada chef Tui (compare the illustration with the frame photo in the upper right)
