Though I had been thinking about burgers all day, the waiter successfully upsells me on the Chili Garlic Lamb. Spicy New Zealand lamb, served with rosemary mashed potatoes, chili oil, and triple berry mint reduction...the description on the menu sounds fantastic, but I initially passed due to concerns that the triple berry reduction would overpower the flavor of the lamb.
It definitely looks fantastic, but it is not at all spicy, it is cooked more medium than medium rare, and the taste is more sweet than savory as I had feared. I also wonder why they went with New Zealand lamb given that many consider Colorado's superior...and it is the neighboring state!
I should have gone with my first instinct.
