Pete introduces Valerie and me to the madness that is Eatalian Cafe. Between its odd location in an industrial section of Gardena, the warehouse setting, and the hostess that seems just a little bit off, this place does not exactly make a great first impression, but it is packed. After a decent wait (including us being mistakenly seated at another party's table), we end up at the counter.

After placing my order, I check out their homemade gelato...looks like we need to save room for dessert!

I try the Homemade Lasagne al Forno. The noodles are wonderfully delicate and the cheese is very smooth and creamy...very good, but the portion could be larger and meatier.

Valerie is equally impressed with the pasta in their Homemade Tagliatelle al Ragù

Our 8 Gi pizza finally arrives...super thin and super good. Supposedly our first pizza was "stolen". They REALLY need to work on their service.

One thing I actually like about Eatalian's odd setup is that you can sample the various gelato flavors before placing an order. I end up with pistachio which really says a lot about how good it is (it takes a lot to sway me from flavors based on chocolate, coffee, or tropical fruit).
