APRIL - Valerie's Model 3 has been getting similar updates latlely, so I don't feel that I am being left behind (partially because her car's hardware is also no longer the latest...so she's not getting the new visualizations that are part of improvements made to Autopilot's Full Self Driving feature set).

Rare moment we have both of our Teslas on the driveway since the "Safer at Home" thing began. I haven't had much reason to drive Model X, but Valerie continues to borrow it for her shopping trips (which means her car usually stays covered).

JUNE - Pandemic deferred dental cleaning...just as California starts to see an uptick in COVID19. As if I wasn't nervous going to the dentist before... Usually I fear traffic on the 405, especially going north of LAX. The La Tijera exit is usually a choke point, but today I was still going 60 through the curve. If the weather had been better, I would totally have driven my NSX, but I do enjoy every opportunity I get to drive Valerie's Tesla. I keep forgetting how fast and nimble it feels...and her sound system is way better than the one in either of my cars.

Is that marine layer or smoke? This morning, Valerie and I have parked at Pelican Cove. We are thankful the temperature is very pleasant because we did not hear the alarm go off and have arrived an hour later than planned.

My Garmin watch indicated we completed our 5K walk as we returned to Valerie's car, so she dumped her final trash in a nearby garbage recepticle and we drove to nearby Golden Cove Plaza to grab lunch.

The number of Tesla Model Ys in the area continue to increase, but I am still fooled by its appearance, constantly mistaking it briefly as a Model 3 from the front...

...and a Model X from the rear. Seeing them side-by-side, you can tell that it is not just a taller Model 3. It is definitely bigger all around.

OCTOBER - Nothing major in this update...and, since we don't even have autopilot in the 3, we probably won't get the full self driving update any time soon
