This morning, I drop by the Promenade on the Peninsula (formerly known as The Avenue or The Shops at Palos Verdes)...
...because the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance Road Rallye begins here. Vehicles participating in this will soon join the Parade of Autos, driving down the Promenade's normally pedestrian-only sidewalk
1935 Bentley 3.5 Litre Park Ward Sports Saloon is parked upon the Promenade
First car to arrive is a Maserati Spyder
The announcer calls out the car and owner as the drive to this spot...official photos are taken there as well (I like my spot better)
This is the real reason I came
This is my first time seeing the $1.4 million dollar 1001 horsepower Bugatti Veyron in person
From pictures and segments on Top Gear, I have not really been a fan of its looks...but it IS impressive in person
This car commands attention...and it sounds awesome
Too bad there's no room to get this thing up to speed
I like my spot on the steps to the Peninsula Grill, but, from here, the sun will be illuminating each car's backside
