DAY 2 (continued from HPDE, day 5 of road trip) - Valerie and I check into our room at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, host hotel fo rthe social event
A TV I doubt we'll use
DAY 3 (social event day 1) - After grabbing breakfast at the Atrium of the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, we head back to our room to get ready for today's drive
We have a view of the San Francisco Bay from our room
The first driver meeting of the social event...yep, the NSXPO social event has officially begun!
May holds up her purple club radio
Daniel and NSX Club of Japan president Hirofumi Tomiyoshi
Not everyone who attends NSXPO can drive their NSX to the event, so some hope for an open seat. Hopefully the NSX Club of Japan president can get a ride in someone's NSX.
Roger (Dhalsim Master) leads the first group departing from the host hotel
Our group leader is Ed Byrne, a NorCal owner I met during our NSX Yosemite Drive last year. He's in a red NA1, but I join the queue behind a white NC1.
We exit the freeway on to 19th Avenue...and the traffic here is a real San Francisco treat. I also hate being stuck behind trucks transporting items that look like they could fall off of their beds. Getting hit from the items on the truck ahead could cause an especially shitty situation for our group.
We have gotten around the danger, but we will be stuck in traffic for most of the drive over to the Golden Gate Bridge
We pass Valerie's high school which currently displays the message "Welcome Home to Mercy Alumnae." How did they know Valerie would be passing by this morning?
Emerging from the General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel
Approaching a bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge
Right about now I am thinking I should have washed my windshield after the drive from Willows
Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge
After crossing the bridge, our group exits on Alexander Avenue
