DAY 0 - We wait to board an Alaska Airlines 737-400
Robert Picardo, Star Trek Voyager's Emergency Medical Hologram, appears to be bound for Seattle. This photo is slightly out of focus because I wasn't looking through the lens as I shot it, but how could I not inlcude it?
After arriving in Vancouver Airport, we must go through customs
Our flight is listed on the top right
Arriving a tad too late to risk catching a cab to the Victoria Island ferry (the earliest ferry arriving in Mayne Island), we decide to play it safe and grab lunch.
The food court seems to have some interesting options
Unfortunately, we choose to grab lunch from here. We're VERY hungry so we really can't complain
With four hours to kill at YVR, I decide to explore the International Terminal
I've taken pictures of YVR before, but not of the check-in lines
I don't remember seeing this last time we were in Vancouver
Statues stand ready to collect the airport tax
Operating on only a few hours of sleep, I'd normally be tempted by the siren, but I already enjoyed a Starbucks cafe mocha today (back at LAX)
It's not quite time to go home, but at least I know where to go to get there
Why can't this be free? I'd browse the web on my PSP if the wi-fi access was free.
Valerie and I like the look of this terminal. That said, she is downstairs sleeping on a bench while I run around looking for photo ops.
I don't feel like walking over to the Domestic Terminal...and I've run out of things to photograph at the International Terminal
Rain clouds loom overhead as we board the ferry in Tsawwassen
On the ferry, we sit with Jeff's Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Bill. We shared the same shuttle bus from the airport, but didn't introduced ourselves until we overheard that they were heading to Mayne Island to attend a wedding.
Bill takes a picture of us with my Canon after I help him figure out how to use his new digital camera
When I last checked the weather forecast, it looked like we might avoid rain
A ferry bound for Tsawwassen
This isn't the nicest photo, but the single shaft of sunlight did catch my eye
We pass a smaller ferry near Galiano Island
