Valerie made reservations at Crustacean in Beverly Hills. We have not eaten here very many times...and it has been several years since our last visit.
As far as I can tell, the restaurant has not chaged since our last visit
Valerie even thinks we sat at this table before
We come here for their famous crab and garlic noodles, but I cannot resist the allure of lobster

Ugh...my collar is ruining the shot (Photo by Valerie Iwasaki)
Nothing could ruin this shot
Seafood Salad...with a very tasty miso dressing
Salmon Tartare Salad...topped with a raw quail egg
That said, their Dungeness Crab is still way better
Our previous visit was before the age of smartphones. Heck, I did not even take photos of meals back then
Shellfish brings out the animal in Valerie
Did we order too much food?
Valerie is not at all interested in ordering dessert until she sees Vietnamese Fritters A La Mode on the menu. We order banana...so good!
If we had arrived earlier, I would have taken more photos of the restaurant, but it is getting dark now
As we leave the restaurant, Valerie asks if she should put the top down (I think she has already decided)
It is a good thing I did NOT know that Sprinkles (and their infamous cupcake ATM) is located across the street from Crustacean. I am too stuffed to even think about cupcakes right now.
We pass by a Sprinkles delivery van as we return to Valerie's car
